Lutheran Social Services of Northern California has shown God’s love in action for more than one hundred years. Serving all in need, LSS provides care and support to thousands of residents of Northern California.

One of the most useful gifts is a gift card to a retail store so that the beneficiary can buy something at the grocery store, clothes store, etc. You can mail your gift cards to the Concord office with instructions if you have any specific program in mind.

Donations of perishable items and/or holiday gifts should be discussed directly with the program manager of that facility.

You can show God’s love in action with your support of Lutheran Social Services of Northern California. Your prayers, your time, your leadership and your generosity help LSS serve others with compassion and justice. Use your imagination as to volunteer opportunities in addition to the activities listed. Organize a golf tournament, have an annual raffle or softball game to benefit LSS.

You have many gifts – feel free to share your talents with LSS. You can donate tickets to athletic events or the movies. Gift cards are wonderful for holiday gifts to the former foster youth we serve. If you have a particular skill – electrician, counselor, dentist, gardener, etc. – you can help with maintaining our homes and/or helping the participants with strengthening their lives.
