7 Ways You Can Help LSS End Homelessness

We offer many opportunities for you, your congregation, business or community service organization to make a difference.

You can find a list of our 2017-18 supporters here

Become a Partner for Good

Monthly donations are an easy way to help us end homelessness for good. Gifts as small as $15 per month help purchase healthy food for children, families and former foster youth; pay for transportation, clothing and more. Become a Partner for Good today.

Donate to Our Clothing, Book, or Gift Drives

Each winter LSS organizes a drive to accept new socks, underwear and coats of all sizes for homeless men and women. The Angel Tree Holiday Gift Drive offers the opportunity to create a happy, joyful holiday season for children, families and former foster youth in our supportive housing programs. The May Book Drive provides summer reading for children. Call us at 925.825.1060 to learn more.

Furnish an Apartment for Formerly Homeless Foster Youth, Adults and Families

Help create a place to call home for those who have nothing; your support will build a sense of stability and safety. Your donation funds the most basic of items, including kitchen utensils, dishes, bath towels, bedding and larger furnishings. If you plan on donating large furnishing, please provide pictures of the items to Contact our Development team to learn more:  925.825.1060 or

Welcome Baskets for Those Moving Into a New Home

You can create gift baskets filled with essentials: towels, kitchen utensils, cleaning supplies, personal hygiene items and more. These baskets are presented to formerly homeless foster youth and families to help them settle into their new home. Learn more here.

Create an Action Team

Thrivent Financial members can form teams to complete a one-time project for LSS. Your congregation, business or community service group can do the same, even if you are not a Thrivent Financial member.

Mentor Youth

Share your time and talent by mentoring a formerly homeless youth or teaching a class to a group of our young people

Want to learn more? Have an idea you want to share or rather speak with someone?  Please speak with a member of our Development team by calling 925.825.1060 x15 or x20.  We would love to hear from you.
