Nearly 1,800 formerly homeless and disabled individuals are safely housed because Lutheran Social Services of Northern California is still in San Francisco - that is no simple feat. Because of the tech growth of the Mid-Market corridor, many non-profits that support at-risk populations in San Francisco are struggling to stay in the city.
When rents rose, LSS found an opportunity to be even closer to our at-risk clients. Our new location at 191 Golden Gate is in the heart of the Tenderloin where many of our clients live. Located between St. Anthony's Dining Room and Kelly Cullen Community for chronically homeless individuals, we are where our clientele need us most.
At LSS, our job begins when people are housed. Our focus is helping these individuals stay housed through our Money Management Program that ensures timely payment of rent and support for managing limited financial resources. What does this mean for those we support? In a word, stability.
Please give your support to our important work today. Help us continue to stabilize lives and improve health outcomes for the people we serve. Help us bring hope to San Francisco's most vulnerable.
