CHURCH SUPPORT:

A significant part of the ministry of Lutheran Social Services of Northern California has always been its relationship to Lutheran Churches of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod (LCMS), including:

Board representation

Representation at church conventions

Financial contributions at the district/synod level

Financial contributions from local congregations

At this point in our evolution as an organization, we are seeking to more proactively relate to congregations through a variety of means.

Some significant activities we are implimenting include:

LSS staff availability, including the President for congregational presentations about the work of LSS.

Utilization of technology to keep local congregations more up to date about activities, visions, and future plans.

We look forward to expanding dialogues that will foster new partnerships and programming that will strengthen our relationships and mutual ministries.
